Building competition

4 teams will build the great Man Cave over the course of the weekend, supported by the trade school at Wintec. At 4pm on Sunday Brian King will auction off the Man Caves and we will give ALL the proceeds to the Lions Cancer Lodge.

For audience participation the Hamilton Community Men’s Shed Activities will include:

a work bench on site with a couple of vices and some planes for planning wood off cuts.
logs of wood and hammers and nails to hammer nails in
a saw horse and crosscut saw for sawing log rings
make a donation (to cover materials) and build a seed tray (hammering sawing and nailing)
possible make a donation and build a set of stilts (from kitset)

These activities will run right thru from Friday to Sunday

We’ll also have a visitors book and membership forms onsite to encourage folk to come and visit the shed and join.
